- G'day all.
- My friend has a problem with his modem. It is an INFOTEL 1428VQE,
- which is a v.34 28800bps data & 14400bps fax.
-
- When he tries to ring out manually, he gets a "NO DIALTONE" message,
- and cannot dial.
-
- The only time he can dial out is if he uses HyperTerminal in Win95 and
- clicks (not types) in the phone number, where the program proceeds to
- do something magical and dials out.
-
- It never detects a dialtone where he types in ATDTxxxxxxx or where he
- types in an init string.
-
- This is the same case in all games we have tried ie doom2, warcraft.
- They give him a no dialtone message and give up!
-
- Please respond, and thanks from the other side of the world in advance
- (in most cases)!
